Swim season
Swim season is the months a pool gets used. In North Texas this often runs from spring to fall.
Texas heat stretches swim season long. Many owners swim from April or May into October. Pools still need care in the off months.
During swim season, chlorine use rises with sun and swimmers, so test water often. Between seasons, keep the pump running enough to prevent algae and watch for freezes. Weekly service helps keep the water ready, so a warm weekend does not start with a green pool. If you plan to swim early in spring, start the pump schedule and water care a few weeks ahead.
