Heat wave
A heat wave is several days of very high heat that raise chlorine use and water temperature.
Hot water and strong sun burn off chlorine faster. Warm water also helps algae grow. In North Texas summers, a pool can go from clear to green in days if chlorine runs low.
Test more often during a heat wave. Keep the pump on long enough to circulate all the water. Top off the level, since evaporation climbs. Keep stabilizer in range so chlorine lasts longer. Check equipment for overheating and keep the pad area clear for airflow.
