Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about our service. For pool care questions, see our guides and the pool glossary.

What areas does Marina Pool Services serve?

We are based in Grapevine and serve residential pools in Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, Keller, Trophy Club, North Richland Hills, Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Coppell, Flower Mound and Irving. Type your city or ZIP on our areas page, or call (817) 896-1120 to check your street.

What does weekly pool service include?

Each week we balance the water, including chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, conditioner and salt if your pool uses it. We empty the baskets and backwash the filter as needed, vacuum when leaves or debris have fallen in, and brush the walls and steps as needed.

Do you repair and install pool equipment?

Yes. We diagnose and repair pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, automation, timers and lights, and we install new equipment. We service and install equipment from Hayward, Pentair, Jandy, Raypak and other residential systems.

Is Marina Pool Services insured?

Yes. Marina Pool Services is insured through IPSSA, the Independent Pool and Spa Service Association.

How do I get an estimate?

Call or text (817) 896-1120, email marinapools@yahoo.com, or send the quote form. Estimates are free for qualifying services, and when the schedule allows we can give a same-day estimate for pool service, cleaning and equipment repairs.

Who is Marina Pool Services?

Marina Pool Services is a family-owned and locally operated pool service company based in Grapevine, Texas. The family lives in Grapevine, and the team has more than 20 years of combined pool experience with residential pools.

Do you work on salt water pools?

Yes. We install salt water systems, convert existing pools, and inspect and service salt chlorine generators. A salt pool still needs regular water testing and care. Salt water does not mean a pool is maintenance-free.

Can you help with a green pool?

Yes. When algae builds up we treat the pool to remove it and clean the filter, because algae is often in the filter as well. See our algae treatment page or call (817) 896-1120.

Do you help with freeze protection?

Yes. We inspect and set up freeze guard systems, winterize pools and check equipment that is vulnerable to freezing. If a freeze has already damaged your equipment, we repair freeze damage too.

Do you seal pool deck joints?

Yes. We remove old mastic, prepare the joint and seal it with Deck-O-Seal, a flexible joint sealant made for pool decks. Many homeowners call this material pool mastic.

Do you install pool automation?

Yes. We install, configure and troubleshoot pool automation and smart controls, and we install timers and energy controls that schedule your pump and other equipment.

Do you work on commercial pools?

Marina Pool Services focuses on residential pools. Call (817) 896-1120 to ask about any other kind of pool.

Do you recommend repairs I do not need?

No. We look at the condition of your equipment and what your pool needs, explain your options and recommend practical solutions rather than unnecessary work.
