Return jet

A return jet is the fitting in the pool wall where filtered, treated water flows back into the pool.

Return jets push water back in and help mix chemicals and move debris toward the skimmer. Aim them slightly down and sideways to set up a gentle circular flow.

Signs of trouble: weak flow from the jets, strong flow from some and none from others, or a jet that sprays air bubbles. Weak flow often points to a clogged filter or basket. Bubbles can mean an air leak on the suction side. Adjusting the jet direction is free and takes seconds, so try it before you call.
