Pool plumbing
Pool plumbing is the network of pipes and fittings that carry water between the pool and the equipment.
Water moves from the skimmers and drains to the pump, through the filter and heater, and back through the returns. The pipes are usually PVC and sit mostly underground.
Hidden breaks are the main risk. Signs include a pool that loses more water than evaporation explains, wet or soft ground near the pad, and air in the pump basket. Freezing, shifting soil, and old glue joints are common causes in North Texas. A pool equipment inspection can check the visible joints and flow at the pad.
