Pool opening
Pool opening is restarting a pool after it was closed or sat idle for a season.
Opening means removing covers, refilling the water, reconnecting equipment, and balancing the chemistry. A pool that sat idle often needs more than a simple restart.
Test the water before you swim. Check for equipment damage, especially after a freeze. A green or cloudy pool may need a deeper cleaning first. See green pool cleanup for the steps. Take it slowly. Run the pump, check for leaks, and let the water circulate before you add large doses of chemicals. A fresh test a day later shows whether the balance holds.
