Startup service
A startup service is a visit to restart a pool and its equipment after a long idle period.
After a long break, the pool may hold stale water, debris, and algae. Equipment may have frozen or sat dry. A startup visit checks the pump, filter, heater, and controls, tests the water, and begins the clean-up.
Expect more than one visit if the water is green. Check for leaks as the system fills and runs. Do not run a pump that is not primed. See pool equipment inspection. Ask the tech for a short list of what was checked.
