Leak detection

Leak detection is the work of finding where a pool or its plumbing loses water.

A pool that loses water faster than evaporation can explain may have a leak. Leaks can sit in the shell, in the pipes, at a fitting, or in the equipment. Finding them uses tests, pressure checks, and special tools.

Start with the bucket test. Also watch for wet spots near the pad, a high water bill, and pump air. Marina Pool Services does not list leak detection as a service, but it can spot visible equipment leaks during a pool equipment inspection.
