Pool timer
A pool timer is a clock that turns the pump or other equipment on and off at set times.
A timer runs your pump on a schedule, so you do not have to remember. Running the pump daytime for enough hours keeps water moving, filtered, and treated.
Most pools need the pump to turn over the full water volume at least once a day. The right run time depends on pool size, pump, and season. A timer can fail by sticking, losing time after a power outage, or burning out its motor. Timer wiring is a pro job. Marina Pool Services installs pool timers. See also freeze guard for winter.
