Freeze guard
Freeze guard is a control that starts the pump when the air gets cold to keep water moving.
Moving water freezes more slowly than still water. A freeze guard watches the air temperature and runs the pump when it drops near freezing. That helps protect pipes, heaters, and filters.
It does not guarantee safety. A hard freeze or a power outage can still cause damage. A power cut stops the pump, so plan for that. A freeze guard needs a working sensor and a pump that is ready to run. Marina Pool Services installs Freeze Guard systems for North Texas pools.
