Pool alarm
A pool alarm is a device that sounds when someone enters the water or a door to the pool opens.
Alarms add a layer of warning. Some float in the water, some mount on doors and gates, and some use sensors in the pool wall.
Alarms do not replace supervision or a fence. Test them often and change batteries. False alarms from wind or waves can lead owners to switch them off, so choose a type that suits your pool. CDC lists fences as a main layer of protection. Check the alarm after storms and power cuts, since both can disable it.
