Pebble finish

A pebble finish is a pool surface made of small natural stones mixed into cement.

Pebble finishes are known for being tough and textured. The stones resist stains and etching better than plain plaster, and the surface is less slick.

The texture can feel rough on bare feet and holds dirt more easily than smooth plaster. Brushing helps. Water balance still matters. Aggressive water can wear the cement between the stones, and high calcium can form scale. Ask your pool builder about the specific stone mix in your pool before you pick a cleaning method.
