Structural crack
A structural crack is a wider crack that may mean the shell is moving or leaking.
Structural cracks go through the shell, not just the finish. They may be wide, uneven, or step up on one side. North Texas clay soil moves with wet and dry cycles, which can stress shells.
Signs of trouble: rapid water loss, a crack that grows, tile that pops off, or a deck that sinks. Do not fill a structural crack yourself. A pool builder or structural pro should check the cause. Marina Pool Services does not repair shell cracks.
