Liquid chlorine
Liquid chlorine is sodium hypochlorite in liquid form, and it adds chlorine without adding cyanuric acid.
Liquid chlorine is a popular choice for weekly pool care because it does not build up stabilizer. It pours in fast and works right away, which helps in hot weather when chlorine drops quickly.
It loses strength on the shelf, so buy it fresh and keep it out of heat and sun. Use only what the label says, and never mix it with acid or other chemicals. It raises pH a little, so you may need to adjust pH over time. It pairs well with a pool that already has plenty of cyanuric acid.
