Trichlor
Trichlor is a slow-dissolving chlorine tablet that also adds cyanuric acid and lowers pH.
Trichlor tablets are easy to use. You put them in a feeder or floater and they dissolve over days. The trade-off is that every tablet also adds cyanuric acid, and that builds up over a season because it does not burn off.
Too much stabilizer weakens chlorine, so watch the level on each test. Trichlor is also acidic, so it pulls pH and alkalinity down. Never drop tablets in a skimmer basket, and never mix them with other chlorine types. Use an inline chlorinator or floater, and follow the label.
