Transformer
A pool light transformer is a device that lowers household voltage to a safer, lower voltage for some pool lights.
Some pool lights run on low voltage, and the transformer sits between the house power and the light. It is usually in a box near the equipment pad.
If a low-voltage light goes dark, the transformer is one place to look, along with the bulb and the cord. Check the label for the light's voltage and the transformer's rating before you replace anything. Mismatched parts can burn out the light. Because the transformer connects to house power, have a qualified pro replace it.
