Filter cleaning
Filter cleaning is a deep clean or replacement of filter media so the filter can trap dirt again.
A dirty filter slows flow and strains the pump. Cartridges are removed and rinsed or soaked. Sand filters are backwashed. DE filters are backwashed and recharged with fresh DE powder.
A rising pressure gauge is the main cue to clean. Pollen season, storms, and algae make filters load fast. Marina Pool Services offers pool filter cleaning and repair for each type. Clean on a schedule rather than waiting for poor flow to show up.
