Enzyme treatment
An enzyme treatment is a product that breaks down oils and organic waste in the water.
Enzymes eat the oils, lotions, and organic waste that make a waterline ring and feed chloramines. They are a helper that eases the load on chlorine. They do not sanitize.
Enzyme products fit pools with heavy use, trees, or pets. Add them on a schedule from the label, and keep chlorine up as usual. If your pool still smells or turns cloudy, test for combined chlorine and look at your filter. Enzymes will not fix a failed pump or filter.
