Drought

A drought is a long dry spell that raises evaporation and water supply concerns.

Droughts bring more heat, less rain, and often stricter water rules. A pool loses more water to evaporation, and filling gets harder.

Keep the level steady with short top-offs instead of big refills. Fix leaks early. A cover lowers evaporation, but check that it fits your pool and safety needs. Check your city's rules before you fill, since limits can change fast. Ask your city utility where to find the current rules, and note the date you checked them.
