Chemical surcharge
A chemical surcharge is an extra fee some pool companies add for chemicals. Ask if one applies.
Some plans include chemicals in the weekly price, and some bill them apart. A surcharge is one way of doing that. It can change the real cost of a plan.
Before you sign, ask in plain words: are chemicals included, is there a surcharge, and can it change during the year? Get the answer in writing. Compare plans on the full monthly cost. Write the answer down in your notes so you can check it against the first bill.
