Bromine
Bromine is a sanitizer often used in hot tubs because it holds up well in heat.
Bromine works in warm water and has a milder smell than chlorine for many people. It comes as tablets or granules, used in a floater or feeder.
Follow the product label for dose and handling. Never mix bromine and chlorine products. Test often. Bromine is less common in outdoor pools, since sunlight breaks it down. For a pool, chlorine is the common choice. Test the level often and keep the pH in range so it works.
