# Service call

A service call is a visit to diagnose or fix a problem.

A tech comes to the home, looks at the problem, and explains the options. Parts may be on the truck, or may need ordering.

Help the visit go faster. Note when the problem began, any sounds, error codes, and what you already tried. Ask whether a diagnostic fee applies and whether it is credited to the repair.
